Oasis Reunion Tour: Gallagher Brothers to Remain Segregated
Introduction
The anticipation surrounding Oasis’s reunion tour is palpable, yet it comes with a twist. While the iconic 90s band prepares for their first tour in years, the Gallagher brothers, Noel and Liam, will not be interacting backstage—a decision made to minimize potential conflicts.
Separate Spaces for Peace
Reports indicate that the band’s management has opted for separate green rooms and after-party areas for the brothers during the upcoming tour. This decision, stemming from their tumultuous history, is intended to avoid controversies that have often marred their relationship since their debut album, Definitely Maybe, launched in 1994.
A Tumultuous History
From breaking up during their initial American tour to the infamous 1996 MTV Unplugged incident, where Liam backed out of a performance, the Gallagher brothers have faced numerous public spats. Their final breakup in 2009 came after a fierce backstage altercation before a concert in Paris, leading to Noel’s departure from the band.
The Reunion Announcement
After 15 years of rivalry, the brothers announced in 2024 that they would reconcile and embark on a series of reunion shows. The reunion has sparked excitement among fans, yet the backstage dynamics remain complicated.
Casting Doubts
Despite these measures, skepticism persists. Liam Gallagher, seemingly in response to rumors, tweeted, “After parties are for wankers. I’m getting straight off after the gigs get my beauty sleep; this level of sexiness doesn’t happen by staying up talking bollox to bellends.”
Tour Details
The Oasis Live ’25 Tour is set to commence on July 4, 2025, in Cardiff, with the band making their first U.S. appearance in Chicago on August 28. Cage the Elephant will open for Oasis during their North American tour.
Who Will Join the Gallagher Brothers?
As of now, only Noel and Liam have been confirmed as part of the tour lineup. There are rumors swirling around the potential return of former guitarist Gem Archer and founding member Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs, among others. However, the status of other previous members, including drummer Zak Starkey and bassist Andy Bell, remains uncertain.
