PressFit Sports helps athletes elevate their personal brand, navigate recruiting and NIL opportunities, and connect with coaches and brands.
Pressfit.ai has moved into the athlete arena. Taking over Black Flag Recruiting, formerly owned by Trevin Edwards. Sean Chang, in partnership with TTP Sports, will come together under Pressfit.ai Sports. Anthony Skinner, co-founder and CEO of Pressfit.ai, saw a natural fit to combine the programs under one. Trevin and Sean are doing for athletes what pressfit.ai does for brands. Ensure they are putting their best foot forward. The pressfit.ai team enables Trevin and Sean to scale their hands-on practice while our social media managers, content generation, video editing team, and legal team take care of the rest.
Trevin Edwards started his college football journey at Colorado Mesa University before joining West Texas A&M University during his graduate year as a wide receiver. He got his bachelor's in business administration from Mesa University in 2024 and then his MBA from West Texas. Trevin Edwards has assisted many students through the changing landscape of college football.
Sean Chang is a former Delta State University D2 collegiate player, a professional player in Taiwan, and a coach who specializes in helping student-athletes navigate college soccer recruitment, communication strategies, on-and-off-field development, and individual career path planning.
Pressfit.ai Sports also built a one-of-a-kind portal to streamline communication between athletes, coaches, and brands. The platform helps high school and college athletes manage recruiting and NIL opportunities in one place, making the often one-sided transfer portal process more efficient.
Whether an athlete is exploring NIL opportunities or considering a transfer, PressFit Sports provides strategic support beyond talent alone. The focus is on helping athletes present themselves effectively, find relevant opportunities, and make informed decisions as their careers develop.
Why Does Athlete Representation Need a Different Approach?
Recruiting is no longer just about putting together a highlight reel and hoping the right coach sees it. Coaches have different needs, programs have different priorities, and athletes have different goals. The right opportunity depends on how those pieces come together.
There is also a wider audience around today's athletes. Brands may look at their personality and audience. Coaches may look at development and fit. Fans may connect with their story. An athlete therefore needs a presence that makes sense across these different conversations.
PressFit Sports takes that broader view. We look at the person behind the statistics and consider where they are now, what they want next, and how they can communicate their value along the way.
How Can PressFit Sports Help High School Athletes Pursuing College Offers?
For many high school athletes, it is the place to start that is the difficult part. There are programs to research, coaches to reach out to, academic requirements to take into account, and athletics information to compile. Before long, families can be trying to handle all of these pieces of the puzzle at once.
This puzzle gets sorted out in an organized way. This starts off by looking at the athlete’s sport, skills, goals, academic standing, and program compatibility. Once these pieces are in place, the athlete can have a good recruitment discussion.
Our Support Can Include:
- Recruiting Positioning: Identify the qualities that could matter to suitable college programs.
- Athlete Profiles: Organize athletic, academic, and personal information clearly.
- Coach Outreach: Develop professional communication for relevant programs.
- Personal Branding: Build an authentic online presence that reflects the athlete.
- Opportunity Planning: Assist in deciding on which recruiting opportunities are worth pursuing.
None of this guarantees a college offer. Coaches and programs make their own decisions. Our role is to help athletes put themselves in a stronger position to be considered.
Why Should Athletes Start Thinking About Their Identity Early?
An athlete's identity does not begin when the first NIL offer arrives. It develops through the way they communicate, compete, interact with others, and present themselves online.
Starting early can make that process more natural. A high school athlete who learns how to communicate professionally today may be better prepared for recruiting conversations tomorrow. The same foundation can later support college relationships, partnerships, and other opportunities.
That being said, it should not mean using a teenager as some kind of marketing tool. Being authentic is vital. It is just making sure that the version of the athlete that the public sees is who they truly are.

How Does PressFit Sports Approach NIL Opportunities?
NIL has opened a new commercial path for college athletes. Athletes can enter arrangements involving their name, image, and likeness, subject to applicable NCAA, school, state, and other requirements. Those rules can vary, so athletes need to understand the requirements that apply to their individual situation.
We look at NIL from the athlete's perspective first. A deal should make sense for the person behind it. The brand should fit their audience and values, and the opportunity should be worth the time and responsibility involved.
A Strong NIL Strategy Starts With:
- The Right Fit: A partnership should feel relevant to the athlete and their audience.
- A Clear Identity: Brands need to understand who they are working with and what that athlete represents.
- Professional Communication: Good opportunities can be lost when communication is unclear, slow, or inconsistent.
- Smart Selection: An athlete does not need to accept every offer simply because it is available.
- Long-Term Thinking: One partnership can be useful, but relationships that continue to make sense can be more valuable over time.
The aim is not to chase the largest number of deals. It is to help athletes recognize opportunities that genuinely fit.
What Should Athletes Consider Before Entering the Transfer Portal?
A transfer can be a major decision. Playing time is only one consideration. Academic plans, coaching, development, location, team culture, finances, eligibility, and personal circumstances can all affect whether a move makes sense.
PressFit Sports can help athletes think through the positioning and communication side of that process. We can help organize an athlete's profile, clarify what they are looking for, and prepare outreach that gives potential programs a clear picture of the athlete.
The transfer portal does not decide on behalf of the player; he still needs to figure out what he is after and why he wants that. Also, since the NCAA rules of transfer and eligibility may change, it is important to know about them and confirm the specifics in each individual case.
What Does It Mean to Represent an Athlete Like a Company?
It does not mean treating an athlete like a product. It means applying the same level of strategic thinking.
A company needs to know what makes it different. An athlete needs to understand their own strengths. A company needs to know who it wants to reach. An athlete needs to know which coaches, programs, brands, or audiences are relevant.
This is because an athlete’s narrative continues to evolve. What sport an athlete plays, their objectives, their target audience, and the possibilities that are open to them could all alter very quickly. Representation must allow for this.
Why Is PressFit Sports Expanding Into Athlete Representation?
PressFit has helped businesses define their value, stand out, and create opportunities. Athletes face many of the same challenges: staying authentic, reaching the right people, and knowing which opportunities to pursue. PressFit Sports was created to bring that strategic business perspective to athletes while keeping the individual at the center.
What Can Athletes Expect From PressFit Sports?
Every athlete has different needs, so there is no one-size-fits-all approach. A high school basketball player, college swimmer, or transfer athlete may each require different support.
We start with the athlete, identify their priorities, and build a strategy around them—whether that means strengthening their recruiting profile, improving communication, or evaluating opportunities. The strategy should fit the athlete, not the other way around.

The Athlete Is the Talent. Strategy Helps Create the Opportunity.
Talent will always be at the heart of an athlete's career. But talent does not always speak for itself. The right people need to see it, understand it, and know why that athlete could be a good fit.
PressFit Sports is here to help with that part.
We represent athletes because we believe they deserve the same thoughtful approach that businesses receive when they are building something important. That means understanding the individual, finding the right audience, developing genuine relationships, and making decisions with the bigger picture in mind.
The athlete brings the talent. PressFit Sports brings the strategy.
