Documented.co provides parents with a private, tamper proof record that helps preserve important parenting events with verifiable integrity.

When custody disputes become contentious, memories often become the weakest form of evidence. Parents are left searching through old text messages, screenshots, receipts, and photos while trying to reconstruct months of events. Notes written long after an incident occurred can quickly face questions about accuracy, timing, and authenticity. In high conflict parenting situations, proving what happened can be just as important as remembering it.

Documented.co was created to solve that problem. Rather than helping parents rebuild a record after litigation begins, the platform enables them to create a private, contemporaneous record as events happen. Every entry is designed to preserve both the information and the integrity of the record, giving parents and their attorneys greater confidence when documentation matters most.

A Private Record Built For Evidence

Documented.co is a native iPhone application that allows one parent to privately document day to day parenting involvement. Users can log pickups, custody exchanges, phone calls, expenses, incidents, and other important events while attaching supporting materials such as photos, voice notes, message threads, and receipts.

Unlike shared parenting tools, Documented.co is intentionally designed as a private record. There is no invitation for the other parent, no shared account, and no collaborative workspace. Each parent maintains their own documentation, allowing them to preserve an independent record without relying on another persons participation.

This approach reflects the needs of parents experiencing conflict or ongoing legal disputes, where maintaining an accurate personal record often becomes a critical part of protecting their interests.

Technology That Protects Every Entry

What distinguishes Documented.co is its focus on preserving the integrity of every record.

Each entry is secured using an append only SHA-256 hash chain. Every new record is cryptographically linked to the one before it, and attached files are included as part of the verification process. If an entry or attachment is altered, deleted, reordered, or replaced, the chain clearly reflects that change.

To strengthen verification further, every entry also receives an independent RFC-3161 trusted timestamp through DigiCert. Only the cryptographic hash leaves the device during this process, helping maintain user privacy while providing independent proof of when the record was created.

Together, these technologies help create a tamper proof, attorney grade record that can be independently verified rather than relying solely on trust or memory.

From Daily Notes To Court Ready Documentation

When legal proceedings arise, organization becomes just as valuable as documentation.

Documented.co allows users to generate court ready PDF exports that include both the recorded information and the supporting audit trail. Because the integrity of each entry can be verified independently, attorneys have access to documentation that preserves not only what was recorded but also evidence that the record has remained intact.

The application follows a local first design philosophy, keeping records on the users device while automatically synchronizing through iCloud. This provides convenient access across Apple devices while allowing parents to retain control over their own information.

Built For Parents Facing Real World Challenges

Documented.co is designed primarily for parents involved in custody disputes where documentation can directly affect legal outcomes. Many users begin searching for a solution after conflict increases, litigation becomes active or threatened, or an attorney advises them to document everything.

The platform also serves custodial parents defending existing parenting arrangements and never married parents navigating custody without formal court orders.

Rather than functioning as a scheduling or communication platform, Documented.co focuses on creating a reliable personal record that stands on its own. It complements communication tools that courts may require while addressing a different need: preserving private, contemporaneous evidence that can support legal documentation when necessary.

Looking Ahead

As legal technology continues to evolve, parents increasingly need tools that provide both convenience and credibility. Documented.co combines modern mobile technology with cryptographic verification to help users preserve important parenting records in a way that emphasizes privacy, integrity, and long term reliability.

The iPhone application has been submitted to the Apple App Store and is currently awaiting review. For legal professionals, an invite only attorney portal allows lawyers to review records that clients choose to share, creating a streamlined workflow while keeping the client experience focused on private documentation.

For parents seeking a private, tamper proof, court ready record of important parenting events,  offers an attorney grade solution designed to preserve information when accuracy and integrity matter most.
